Pilot Mountain, although not as well known as some Nevada turquoise, is an important mine with a long history found in Turquoise in America Part Two, 1910-1990 and Part Three 1990-2020.
 
This stone weighs 10.3 carats and measures 2cm X 1.5cm. The price is $100 a carat or $1030. It is not treated and is not backed. I have assigned a TG of 96 making this the highest grade of Pilot Mountain. I purchased this stone from Bob Brucia and it is represented in the book Turquoise, Jewel of the Southwest.
