Turquoise has been mined in the Kingman area for over one hundred years. The story is told in Turquoise in America Parts 1-3. Dark web spiderweb was first recognized on Ithaca Peak and has been a distinctive Kingman look, very rare as natural.
 
These seven stones of Kingman weigh 79 carats and measure on average 1.5cm X 2cm. They are not treated and are backed. The retail price for this grade is $60 a carat.
