Kingman is an iconic turquoise mine considered one of the Big Three of Arizona. The history is found in Turquoise in America Part One 1890-1910, Part Two 1910-1990 and Part Three 1990-2020
 
This cabochon weighs 38.7 carats and measures 3.5cm X 2.5cm. It is priced at $40 a carat or $1548. It is not treated and backed. It shows the characteristic Ithaca Peak blue with the desirable pyrite in the matrix. The line is a natural fissure not a crack. I have assigned a TG of 86 or VHG. Callais Collection.
